  1. Cool green, but…does Keegan actually sleep on that top bunk? I don't consider myself overly over- protective, but I have been scared to even have a bunk bed in the house, because I can't trust Zeke not to crack his head open falling out of it. He's 2 1/2 and thinks he can do anything, but he trips over his own two feet on a daily basis. Yes, I suppose I will just have to train him to stay away or use it properly, but I still think the 'meantime' would be plenty time to hurt himself. "sigh." With 4 kids in 2 bedrooms the time for bunks is quickly approaching…. love you! Veronica

  2. Hi, Veronica! Nope, Keegan won't sleep up there for another 4-6 months (when Kieran graduates the crib.) When he does, I think he'll be ok, except for curling up in a ball, he's not an active sleeper, and with the top rail on there (added on extra) it is almost as safe as a crib. But… for now he sleeps down below, but just climbed up top so he could "see the paint better" (Not sure I understand it, because there is paint down lower too. *laugh*)

Keegan is also a bit older than your active little Zeke… not a lot–he turned 3 in january, but at that age sometimes just 9 months can be big.

  3. It looks like you have been very busy. The kitchen and boys' room look great. I love to paint when it's spring. You can open the windows and let in the fresh air. Everything just feels so new and bright.

  4. Hello! You have had a busy household! What fun changes in your home! I enjoy visiting your blog….gleaning ideas and being inspired by your fun learning ideas and dedication to home schooling. Thank you for sharing with all of us. 🙂 A question for you…..your coffee table full of books is an awesome idea. I love the idea of having books around relating to the similar subject/time period. My question….how are you able to have all of those books for that same subject all at the same time? We have a small library here in our area, but I have to place a "hold" on many of the books, which means waiting for them to come from another library or from someone else who has checked them out. How do you keep it so organized that all of those books are available right when you need them? Thank you so much for your time! I know you don't know me, but please know that I've really appreciated gleaning ideas from you. I do have an e-mail, and I now have a "nook" (similar to a blog) over in the "Homeschool Lounge" that is now up and running.

    God bless you and yours,

  5. Oh I bet they had fun with that! My dd11 and I recently painted her bedroom and the living room and had a wonderful (though tiring – we did the ceilings as well and had sore shoulders and necks by the end LOL) time doing it. 🙂

That's a very cool airplane shelf! (it *is* an airplane, yes?)
