With oranges down to three pounds for a dollar we started the day with fresh squeezed orange juice! AH! What a delight! I remember squeezing oranges every morning during my months in South America as a high school student, but that was where oranges grow on trees. Here they are more of a luxury.
Between the orange juice and the “heat wave”, I can almost imagine I’m near a warm coast! The thermometer got close to 70 degrees today, and we had the rare blessing of no wind! (Ok, there was a gentle breeze, but not the wild gusts that require tying down the dog and children.) My girls played outside and joined me for a walk down the road to the mailbox.
What simple pleasures brought smiles to your day?
