Keianna’s 9th Birthday; The Migraine Monster Strikes

Keianna enjoyed her special request birthday meal of homemade pizza with a fruit salad (apple, orange, pomegranate seeds and walnuts).  Midway through her yummy dessert of chocolate amaretto ice cream, a migraine struck.  She doesn’t get them often, but as all migraine sufferers know, even occasionally is far too frequent.

We offered to let her open her gifts the next morning, but presents are too tempting a prospect to delay.

None of the 53 pictures taken last night look like my cheerful, “Christmas Song”, Keianna Noelle.    Fortunately, today dawned migraine free, and her smile was back as she played with her presents.  She’s already made several pot holders on the loom Grandma and Grandpa gave her, and is creating art with her new art kit.

Nine years old, creative, cheerful, fanciful, and usually lively; my sweet Keianna!

After Christmas, I hope to take her out for a little mini photo-shoot so we’ll have some pictures near her 9th birthday where she’s looking her lively self.

This pretty much sums up her evening, she wasn't shading her eyes from the momarazzi, and I wasn't using flash on my camera, her head was just hurting. Poor girlie!
