Our Thanks, O God, For Fathers

Celebrations began as the girls fixed a pancake breakfast.  They attempted frog shapes with the batter, but soon switched over to making “baseballs”.

After a lovely time of fellowship at church, we returned home for a Father’s Day meal of homemade pizza and apple cobbler.  The children deluged their Daddy in homemade cards and tokens of appreciation, and Kaira found a hymn in an old hymnal which she played on piano as her gift.  The song was new to me, but the simple lyrics fittingly capture the caring Daddy my children are blessed to know:
