Thanksgiving in March

I had a turkey tucked away in the freezer from November, and decided to roast it up yesterday, along with a few other Thanksgiving-y dishes. Kaira and Kendra both thought it quite fitting in light of last week’s First Thanksgiving focus in our history readings.  They’ve been having a grand time playing Pilgrims and Indians.

Today I finished boiling bones and making huge pots of turkey soup for the freezer.  MMM!  I feel a storm coming in, and soup has a way of warming from the inside out!

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. The turkey sounds wonderful in March. I am just browsing through because I can not sleep. Your blog is cute.

  2. Would you please post your turkey soup recipe, starting with the used-to-be a turkey mess? I'd love to learn how to do this!
