Our sweet Kendra had her long awaited birthday, the last in our birthday string. She’s five now!
Birthday honorees get to choose their meals. For her main dish she choose meatballs and noodles, and asked to help make the meatballs.
For her cake she had specific requests clear down to the shape. She wanted a lemon cake (a girl after her lemon-loving daddy’s heart!)–a square, yellow one. Yes, she specifically wanted square. I’m not a great cake decorator, but I do think it turned out pleasingly square shaped! Kendra helped on the baking, and it was delicious–lemon custard filling, lemon cake and lemon icing.
She’d been wondering what was in those mysterious lavender packages since before Christmas. The Geomags and stencils were a hit.
