A festive Christmas and a quiet New Year.

We enjoyed a lovely, lively Christmas with 6 grandparents and their 6 grandchildren!  My sister and Ken’s brother (who are married to each other) and their two adorable children came, as did 3 sets of grandparents!  We had a grand time.  The children were delighted to have all their favorite people in our home at once.

The past two days we’ve eased back into our school routine.  It is always nice to have a holiday, but feels good to be back to “normal” (whatever that is) too.

Snow is falling swiftly outside again, and we will be snug at home for a quiet New Year.  I’m thinking that New Years day I’ll cook up a turkey and we’ll enjoy hot cocoa and popcorn in the evening.

  1. Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. How wonderful!

Hey, send some of your snow our way. We would love it.

    Blessings,
    Mandy

  2. Dell,
That is so neat that your sister and Ken's brother are married. I have a couple of cousins who are sisters that married brothers. I always thought how neat that their kiddos are double cousins. I also used to work with a guy who dated the sister of his brother's wife. Although they aren't married yet, I expect it some day.
I'm really glad that you all got to be together with your loved ones for Christmas. I can imagine how exciting it really is as a child to have all of your favorite people around at once.
    Love & Blessings,
    (: Amanda 🙂
