Christmas Adam and Eve

Yesterday the big girls scrubbed twenty pounds of potatoes for our Christmas dinner tomorrow, and I did some last minute food prep as well. With preparations done, we relaxed and Celebrated what we now know is Christmas Adam.

Our cyber-friends the Snows, enlightened us that before “Eve” comes “Adam.” Thus as tonight will be Christmas Eve, last night was Christmas Adam!  (Please do pray for the Snows.  Melissa’s caring bridge site is linked on the sidebar of this blog, and the doctors suspect her time with her family here on earth is short.)

We finished our Advent readings, a brief time of prayer, and then our own “little family’s” gift exchange.

Our first out of town guests arrived last night, with more coming tomorrow. Ken decided the shovel wasn’t sufficient for the snow, so his dad came by to plow with the Bobcat. Keegan was fascinated.

Tonight we will celebrate more, and enjoy the real Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke.

Merry Christmas!

  1. I love it!!! That is so clever. We always say Christmas Eve Eve. But Christmas Adam is cuter! 🙂

Glad your family is having a great holy -day!

  2. I've never posted a comment on your blog before, but I wanted to let you know I've very much enjoyed reading it over the last several months. I also wanted to say thank you very much for your prayers for the Snows. I am one of their "nannies" from this past year, and it is so special to see how many people are holding them up right now in prayer. It won't be long now before Mrs. Snow is rejoicing in the presence of her Saviour and those precious girls and little Isaac will no longer have a Momma here on earth. Thank you for praying!

  3. I've been thinking about the Snows a lot. I guess I know why now as she's doing so poorly. Thanks for posting the link to their caring bridge site. I hadn't noticed it on the side of your blog.
