Snowfall

A full and productive day!

School went well. Both the eldest two are moving right along, and Kendra is nearly caught up to Kaira in math. This is fantastic, since I have them do many of the oral activities together. The teamwork and competition helps both of them absorb concepts much faster.

Thursday is cooking day. (It used to be baking day, but I switched them.) Today I made 5 Mexican lasagnas and had enough glop left over to freeze for enchilada filling, so that makes 6 meals. If I count the three bags of extra cubed grilled chicken I packaged for the freezer as “meals” then I made 9 meals today.

Grilling in the winter in high winds isn’t the greatest, but loading up the grill makes it worthwhile. The wind, which blustered while I was grilling this afternoon, settled after sundown, and now a gentle, but steady snow is falling. I stood at the door for awhile, watching it drift down in the light of our street lamp. The only negative to the snow is that it may make Ken’s night-time drive to work a bit slow.

Ken’s working again this weekend, so to keep it from seeming like one never-ending week, I’m thinking of renting The Sound of Music for the girls and me to enjoy on Saturday evening.

  1. In fact, it’s still snowing a little.

My oldest two sons are in the same place in the math book. It makes it soooo nice to teach them together. So far we haven’t had any negative competition between them.

  2. Thank you so much for your comment on my blog and prayers!!!!! I always love finding another Professor B user, and I have REALLY enjoyed reading through your blog today! (((((HUGS))))) sandi
